Automotive Lot Porter

Job Summary:
Jim Bagan Toyota, a leading automotive dealership in South Lake Tahoe, California is seeking a motivated and dependable Automotive Lot Porter to join our team. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the fast-paced and dynamic auto industry. As a Lot Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our dealership lot, providing support to the sales and service departments, and maintaining a positive and professional image for our dealership.

Compensation & Benefits:
As a full-time Lot Porter at JIM Bagan Toyota, you will receive a competitive salary of $18 per hour, paid semi-monthly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within the company.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dealership lot, including keeping vehicles, equipment, and grounds free from debris and clutter
- Greet and direct customers to appropriate departments or staff members
- Assist sales team with moving and arranging vehicles on the lot
- Assist service department with retrieving and parking customer vehicles, as well as performing light maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressures and washing vehicles
- Assist in vehicle detailing as needed
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire pressure checks, fluid top-offs, and jumpstarting vehicles
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a similar role or working in the automotive industry preferred
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and operation
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings with some overtime as needed
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
