Job Brief: The Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

The Project Manager is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The project manager's responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management like - Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, and Safety Management.
This Data Center Project Manager will be a lot more hands-on with physically managing the project engineers and the install superintendents and act as a full-time Project Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine and assign technician resources for each Project and requested task
- Act as an on-Site Vendor manager
- Determine all material required to complete the build Project with support from Field Lead Technician, and Logistics Lead
- Attend customer design and build review meetings
- Manage both new deployment and live Site/production requests
- Provide KPI reports and financial forecast, as required
- Administration of on-Site access for Vendor personnel
QUALIFICATIONS
- A four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- A postgraduate degree in construction management is an added advantage.
- Must have prior experience in the installation of standard cabling technologies, rack infrastructure and in managing large-scale build projects including the ability to communicate, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Proficient with MS Office including MS Excel, Word, and email.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good understanding of building systems.
- Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.
- Knowledge of employment law
- Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
- Good client management and goodwill building ability.
- Capacity to motivate, lead and boost the morale of the teams.
- Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
- Capacity to handle pressure.
- Willingness to travel extensively across sites if required.
- Strong focus on quality and safety.
