Strongbridge is recruiting for a Program and Financial Analyst to provide support across multiple back-office functions in the context of government contracting, including direct support to the Chief Financial Officer with financial analysis and forecasting, proposal pricing support for new business, accounting support in areas such as accounts payable and accounts receivable processing and reconciliations, and support to Project/Program Managers with planning, budgeting, tracking, and reporting.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.  This position will be part of a small back-office team reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.   

 

Anticipated Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide proposal pricing support for strategic bids and task orders to the Federal Government, including building/manipulating/maintaining interactive cost and revenue models that incorporate detailed cost assumptions across all aspects of a government contractor labor pool using Microsoft Excel.  
  • Assist in analyzing solicitation requirements and in the drafting of Price volumes in response to solicitations, ensuring collaboration with applicable functions (i.e., Accounting, Operations, Recruiting, Technical/Innovations), accuracy of work products, and compliance with the terms of the solicitation and company policies. 
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer with financial analysis and forecasting across current Government contracts including profitability assessments (Corporate, Project, Control Account, and Labor Category levels), near- and long- range revenue forecasting, trend/variance analysis, and formatting/preparing reports for the Executive team.  
  • Provide project control support to Project/Program Managers and Operations by assisting with planning, budgeting, tracking, and reporting for contract work, funding, subcontractor spending, labor burn rates, sales outlooks, trend/variance analysis, and margin assessments/projections. 
  • Provide accounting support in areas such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, including such tasks as voucher processing, credit card reconciliation, and coordinating subcontractor invoice reviews and approvals between Program Managers and accounting team including coding verifications.  

 

Required Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Proficiency in Excel 
  • Attention to detail a must 
  • At least 2 years of experience in Project Control, Accounting, or Finance at a Federal Government contractor 
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines with short turnaround times. 
  • Organized 
  • Excellent communication skills, including professional writing. 
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, independently motivated, and organized. 

 

Desired Skills: 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration  
  • High proficiency in Excel 
  • Knowledge of FAR 
  • Knowledge of aspects of contracts administration, subcontracts, and accounting practices 
  • Experience and knowledge of pricing, including reading and reviewing solicitations 
  • Understanding of different contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, FFP) 
  • Experience with GSA MAS 


Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000

The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
