Environmental Project Manager

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Environmental Services firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of an Environmental Project Manager in Reno, NV.

Responsibilities:

• The work includes field and office work.
• Examples of work include Phase I & Phase II site assessments, industrial hygiene assessments, and sampling of soil, groundwater, or air
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned sector; recommend measures to improve performance and increase efficiency; manage staff utilization and profitability
• Track personnel actions and staff development including support for recruiting and hiring and training measures for assigned staff
• Lead and manage quality control, including assurance that quality work is planned and organized through a pro-active project management system, and implements corrective measures as needed
• Provide hands-on mentoring and team participation to create a bridge between technical resources and client requirements and ensure there is appropriate leadership and supervision engaged on technical assignments

Requirements

• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred but not required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to write technical reports and proposals
• Ability to perform field work requiring physical exertion
• Capable of multitasking; and
• Good driving record acceptable to company’s insurer
• 5 - 10 years of experience as an environmental scientist or Geologist
