IT Business Analyst

The Information Technology Department is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Strategic Planning team. This individual is responsible for identifying and documenting clinical technology business processes through interviewing business owners and reviewing and analyzing existing systems and processes. Articulates interrelationships and creates business flow into system specifications. Conducts gap analyses to document discrepancies between business requirements and system capabilities. May develop project plans and ensure plan adherence in concert with IT Project Manager. Serves as liaison between business owners and the IT (Technical team) organization.

Our current opportunity is based in Rockville, MD or Remote and report to the Vice President of Strategic Technical Services.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Business and Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities for business or process improvement; makes associated recommendations as appropriate.
• Interface with end users to determine business needs and map these needs into existing system functionality or develop written specifications for system modifications when appropriate and approved by senior management.
• Liaison between IT and other departments to streamline & re-engineer business and system.
• Coordinate with I.T management staff as well as the senior management staff and other departments for resolution of complex issues.
• Keep senior management informed of all technical issues that adversely impact key business systems or processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years working in the Healthcare space.
• 3+ years of documenting workflow design & business process mapping

• 3+ years of experience as a team member on technology-based projects in highly complex business-to-business and/or outsourced client environments

Education:

• A bachelor’s, or higher, degree in a technical field
